Amazon Delta
Deep in the Amazon Rainforest, adventure awaits. Hidden temples, ancient curses, or even a missing bird, all of it resides here. Very few people have come and visited these mysterious sites, but now you are invited to come and see for yourself what mysteries lie here in the jungles of South America.
When you first come in from Star Wars: Spaceport, you come into a deserted jungle area. On your right is another place to sign up for Wilderness Explorers. On the left, you keep going into the jungle until you see Carl Fredrikson's floating house from Up. Going in through some cracks in the mountain, you can go on Up with Carl, a Monsters, Inc. Ride-and-go-seek style ride where you go searching for Kevin and her flock in the South American rainforest. You exit the ride through Wilderness Explorers Clubhouse. Near that is the Spirit of Adventure Dining Hall, where you get to dine on Charles Muntz's ship, the Spirit of Adventure.
If you continue further to the west, you will find the Macchu Picchu Post up north. Continuing northwest will take you to Sallah's Hangar Bay, where you can eat. South from that is the Jungle Ruins Explorations, where you explore ancient ruins. Even more south from that is Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Dark Diamond, where you explore a temple but must evade the wrath of the protector deity of the temple, Acatuzmul. The person who sends you into the temple is Marion Ravenwood this time, Indy's love interest. The ride exits into Temple Treasures.

When finding a place to move Indiana Jones, I quickly decided on South America. This wasn't just because I thought it would be fitting since Raiders of the Lost Ark starts off there, but I also thought I could bring Up into this too. Those too ideas are what excited me most about this area. When putting it together, it was a piece of cake and went well.

Something about the Amazon is always intriguing to me. This is definitely a place I’d like to visit. I love the storyline of Up with Carl, and I really want to ride it!! Up and Indiana Jones fused well in this area.
