Magical Fjord

Travel into the unknown with this new area. In the most northern corner of the park is a magical Scandinavian world, the Kingdom of Arendelle. This is the world of the hit Disney film Frozen. Here, you will find attractions, shopping, and dining worth melting for. (As Olaf once said, some people (and maybe things) are worth melting for.)

Crossing over from the bridge north of Arabian Coast, you travel from the Middle East to Scandinavia. You then step into the village, where you can suit yourself to many experiences. Anna and Elsa meet their fans at Summer Snow Day Inn while Olaf can be found at the Village Sledhouse. On the right of the entrance is a restaurant, Arendelle Tavern. Further up north is Reindeer Restaurant, Kristoff's Ice Store, Troll Knoll, and Snacks of the Southern Isles. On the souther side, you can find Hygge House, a store, and a station to board the Frozen Carriage, which transports you to the Frozen location in Disney Studios' Film Backlot. Once you cross a bridge to the castle, you can go on Frozen Ever After, a modified version of the Epcot original. The ride exits into Queen Anna's Royal Gifts.
West of the village is where you can find a forest area. Here, you can shop at Wandering Oakens, a recreation of the shop from the film. In the southern part of the area is where you can board the Grand Disneysea Streamer Line, which returns to Pacific Wharf from there. The area also features two original attractions. Kristoff and Sven's Mountainside Sleigh Run, a roller coaster where you ride in sleds around the mountain and journey with Sven and Kristoff as they discover something unexpected in the Arendelle highlands. Up north is Elsa's Enchanted Forest Adventure, a motion simulator based on Frozen II where the wind spirit, "Gale" transports you on an adventure to help Elsa save the Enchanted Forest when a sudden darkness appears.

This area didn't take too long to develop. I knew what I wanted in a Frozen themed land, so I just fished it out of my head and put it together. This has several references to the world of the two films, and even the Broadway musical. Hygge is actually the name of a song sung by Wandering Oaken during the play. What's the thing that Kristoff and Sven find inside the mountain? Will it give away spoilers for Frozen III (If there is going to be one) and does it involve Kristoff being the king? (Frozen II ended with him successfully proposing to Anna, who had recently been crowned Queen of Arendelle, so that makes him the king.) I will not say. You'll have to ride the ride to find out.

  1. I love all of this! This is a Frozen lovers dream! The rollercoaster sounds amazing, and so does the simulator ride. I think there should be some Mickey ears with Sven antlers for purchase!
