Mermaid Kingdom

If you're wanting a family-friendly adventure that spans both land and sea, look no further than here. In this area based on the classic animated film, The Little Mermaid, you can play fathoms below the sea or visit Prince Eric's kingdom. It's a fin-tastic place that your whole family will enjoy!

When first crossing the bridge over from French Harbor, you see Atlantica ahead. Scuttle's Shufflers, an indoor family ride, is next to it. Inside Atlantica, however, you can experience five family rides: Jumping Jellyfish, King Triton's Carousel, Flounder's Flying Fish, The Whilrpool, and Sebastian's Musical Mix. In there, you can also dine in Ariel's Grotto or shop in Whosits and Whatsits Galore. You can also meet Ariel in Coral Cavern.
Back on the Surface, if you start going north, you will walk into Prince Eric's village. On the left, you will find Village Market, Scuttle's Findings, Seaside Snacks, Fathoms Below Bites, and Royal Relics. On the right, you can follow a path into an underground cave and go on Under the Sea--Voyage of the Little Mermaid, or up ahead in a recreation of Prince Eric's Castle, Les Poissons. Keep going up the path and you'll enter Mystic Point.

I created this area with families in mind. I wanted a nice family-friendly area where little kids can enjoy themselves. However, I did not want this to be a lame area, so I gave some things to attract older people. For example, I'm sure that adults and kids alike would enjoy going on Under the Sea. This area is basically a mix between Tokyo Disneysea's Mermaid Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom's Little Mermaid section in Fantasyland, but I feel like I got the best in both.

  1. This might possibly be one of my favorite areas you’ve ever created! I love the Little Mermaid, and I love the idea of going ‘under the sea’, so this area is right up my ally! Even though the majority of attractions are family rides, the colors and visuals will keep everyone’s attention! How funny would it be to have bubble machines spitting out bubbles all over the land?
