Volcanic Isle
Adventure awaits here in the Indonesian islands. Krakatoa, the mightiest volcano in history, sits here, and a strange force lies within. Do you dare to see it? Also, come and visit Kumandra, the great Southeast Asian world the Dragon Gem.
If you come over from Port Orleans, Chinese Bay, or Avengers World, you enter a Dutch Indonesian village. When you come on the island from Chinese Bay, you are in the jungle. In front of you is East Indies Trading Company, a gift shop. To the left of that is Indonesia Wok, which sells Indonesian food. Near that is Volcano Oven and Southeast Asia Accessories. On the southwest side of the island is a bridge going to a small island, which has another bridge going to the Wakanda area of Avengers World. On this island are two things: Isle of Java Juice, a drink stand, and the last sign-up for Wilderness Explorers. While going north will take you on the bridge to Port Orleans, going behind East Indies Trading Company will lead you to the park's icon and the fastest and longest roller coaster in the park, Fire Mountain, where you go inside Krakatoa on a mine train but must get out as the volcano erupts during its infamous 1883 eruption. The ride exits into Krakatoa Confections.
On the eastern part of the island is an area based on Kumandra, the fictional world of Raya and the Last Dragon. On the northern part of the area where you walk around Krakatoa, you come walking towards the Rain Hut, a gift shop. Further up ahead is Rainmaker, a splash pad, and Boun's Shrimp Shack is also nearby. Dragon Gem Guardians Store is near the bridge to Magical Highlands. On the easternmost side of the area is Kumandra Collection and Tong's Travelers are two gift shops in the area, along with Guardian Gourmet. Sisu Spin, a slinky dog spin-style ride where you go around on the titular Last Dragon, Sisu, is found nearby. Then, going under a recreation of the heart palace atop the arch, you ride Raya and the Magnificent Journey, where you ride a chariot pulled by fur bugs (the species Raya's steed Tuktuk is a part of) around Kumandra to fight the Druun. The ride exits into Heart Palace Gifts.

This was the most important area to me because it was the centerpiece of the park. However, Fire Mountain didn't do enough, so I decided to add Raya and the Last Dragon to it. I looked up where Kumandra was based off of, and it was revealed to be inspired by Southeast Asia (which is odd since they have a mostly Chinese-American voice cast.) The film has an interesting take on pre-colonial Southeast Asian culture and seems to have good reviews, along with 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I thought I would include it in this area. I have not seen Raya, but I used the trailer on Disney+, the event on the Disney Magic Kingdoms app on my iPhone based off of the film, and a description in the Disney+ thing when the film was streaming for premier access (although it is not anymore) as my guides, and I think I did a good job. The most exciting part about this area is when it is nighttime and the volcano lights up and looks like lava is coming down from the dome. It would be a lot of cool visual effects to make it work though.

Great idea to include Raya. I would like to watch it as soon as it’s on Disney+. It looks like a cute movie. You’ve told me a little about this volcano, and it seems really cool. I love the idea of a coaster where you are trying to escape the volcano before it erupts! There is so much you can do with that! Nice job! It is a well thought out area that is sure to be a hit!
